How to get here
You can reach Lijiang by train, for example from Kunming. Once in Lijiang, the Old Town is easiest to reach by Didi (taxi). I would recommend finding an accommodation in the Old Town.
What to do
Stroll around the streets, visit the night market and enjoy the food from the Yunnan province. The Old Town has a good atmosphere. Inside Old Town you can follow the signs for certain highlights, but I would recommend just walking around and going with the flow. The Old Town of Lijiang is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Weather and clothing
It can be quite cold in spring, but check the weather forecast. You will be walking inside the city, so no need to bring special walking equipment.
